Stimp's run 2024 Mothertrucker (shoulda been DQ'd)
The ND happens around 4:30
You can't see hand position at the ND, but based on my finger position at 4:28-ish, it coulda been me for sure. Still odd the palm safety would have been in enough during a mag swap.
Regardless, I hate my muzzle discipline here so much.

Emerald guitar tuner solution

Emerald guitars have really nice finishes that my favorite Snark tuners do not like to stay on. Here's the solution I came up with for my X30 and Virtuo. These are basic 12x2mm neodymium magnets I bought on Amazon. I used double-sided tape from home despot to stick the magnet to the back of the Snark head and super glue to stick the magnet to the guitar body. I put the electrical tape I used to...

    Interestingly Sherman and British crusader tanks of what I read thus far, had catastrophic burnings within the tank due to stored cordite in their ammunition. Explains a lot now, most though it was due to the fuel tanks being hit, but no the flammable cordite made the tanks burn up far more than fuel tanks or pumps hit

      The inch plugs are different critters for sure. I feel the Brits made everything more complicated on the FAL...although I do like the mag release. I do Inch plug mods, but it's a bit tricky. Basically, I weld over the cutout, grind it out to what I think approximates the 5/64" hole in the metrics, or really just shy of that, and then I send a small round file along for the owner to tweak the cut with if necessary.

Once watched the chickens pick out the cordite from a shell. There used to be a farmhouse turned German quarters on our land. In a couple of spots there are loads of Germans shells, in other spots 303 from the advancing Canucks.

    If the suppressor is adding extra pressure, then wouldn’t it work/ cycle better with a larger hole?

    • @stimpsonjcat67
      @stimpsonjcat67 Год назад

      That's the problem, with the can added, a properly operating FAL will now have too much pressure and the system starts taking a beating. The reduced hole size in the plug reduces the amount and pressure of the gas getting to the piston head so that it is the same as the pressure the piston head sees with the can removed and the 'normal' gas plug installed.
